Kinjal

KINJAL

Kinjal is a one-man project created in 2007. It began some 10 years ago when Shodan, the man behind it all first started composing music using his first PC. The first results were below average due to a limited choice of equipment at disposal (a setback which would continue throughout the coming years). Nevertheless, some people found his oldschool 4-channel and multichannel tracker modules interesting and invited him to make music for their demos and intros. Out of several hundred music tracks he had composed many were used in works by groups such as mad!virgin, TrancEthereal and several others. Most of those works won awards at scene competitions like YALP, Terminal Frost etc.

Coincidentally, at the same time as he made his first steps as a composer, Shodan discovered the industrial genre and within it some bands which would greatly influence his overall music style - Fear Factory, Front Line Assembly and Ministry. Therefore, it would be easy to classify his music as industrial metal. However, in later years the spectrum of influence grew wider and now names such as Judas Priest, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Rammstein, The Sisters of Mercy, Stuart Chatwood and Jeff Martin. As of 2007. the music style of Kinjal now includes a mixture of agressive riffs along the line of Fear Factory and Rammstein, and oriental motives of Middle East.
