Sonic Doom Records

Bits and pieces of Sonic Doom Records (SDR) can be traced at the beginning of 2007, when a group of people started to gather around an almost forgotten entity of music in our town: the riff. The place is Zagreb, the capital of Croatia and time is irrelevant but definitely right. The first step was Sonic Doom evenings, held at a local rock club. If you played smoked up stoner rock, gloomy monolithic doom or sun-burned-and-left-to-die desert rock (and everything in between) this was the place to be. The word soon spread and these evenings quickly became the synonym for that kind of music in our town, then country, then further… Things evolved slowly but altitudes achieved were high. People were in hunger for more. Just to test how hungry they were, a promo sampler (named Sonic Doom sampler vol. 1) was released somewhere in 2007, featuring the most prominent bands of the scene. It was gone in a hit of a bong! The decision was made to go to the next level. As of early 2008, that level is known as Sonic Doom Records. With its first release, a split-cd featuring Cojones and Umor and a fistful of bass-high / treble-low shows around our country and Europe, Sonic Doom Records floats slowly to the centre of the Sun. Join us on this trip because from up here this pink nebula mist looks so damn trippy!

GURANJE S LITICE is small independent croatian promotor of underground music. Sometimes it's there for concerts, sometimes for releases, but always for artistic collaboration and friendship. Since 2002. we collaborate with few Cultural associations and youth organisations like ''Pokret Za Kulturu Mladih'' from Split/Croatia/Europe and ''Kulturno Umjetnicka Udruga Uzgon'' also from Split/Croatia/Europe. We have organised around 20 concerts and released few releases, mostly for promotional purposes.

Crime:Scene records is a net-label that releases albums of ExYu dark artists. ExYu is a territory in Europe where former Yugoslavia was and is invloved with these countries: Serbia, Croatia, Macedonia, Bosnia and Hercegowina, Crna Gora and Slovania.

The deal is: You give us the links for your demo/album/ep, artworks and information about your project/band and we will release it. We do not print CD's but your music will be promoted over the country in various compilations. PARAFIN, Belgrade, Serbia is non-profitable, non-government organization of young intellectuals, who are trying to bring some diversity in cultural life of their surrounding through their efforts and creativeness. We are facing a wide gap between cultural happenings organized for solely commerciality on one side, and well recognized academic life with its values and routine going on for decades, on the other. Everything else, being either not commercially attractive or not recognized by established cultural institutions is to be presented by pure chance only. Mere accident and not an organized attempt bring something different to Serbian cultural public. Needless to say, most of interesting new production falls into this area between commercial or academically proposed culture. GentleJunk co. NetLable is open for sound and sonic art oriented people, interested in sweet innovative creation, sound in its purest, experiment, innovation, improvisation, noise, drone… Most of the albums released are not strict in musical domain of melody and rhythm, but are more open to storytelling or psychedelic experience of pure and sometimes harsh sounds that reflect state of inner being.

Most of the artists released are from Croatian noise scene that is gathering all its strength to evolve and share works and experiences with other musicians.

‘A netlabel, also called online label, web label or MP3 label, distributes its music in digital audio formats (mainly MP3 or Ogg) online. Netlabels often work like traditional record labels to produce and promote music projects (such as albums or compilations). Most employ guerrilla marketing to promote their work. Few netlabels earn money for participants.The primary difference between netlabels and record labels is that netlabels emphasize free downloads, as opposed to physical publishing (CD, vinyl or DVD). Kruno Jošt is one of the founders of organization ‘UKE’ in Križevci (Urban Culture and Education) that focuses on new media culture, international collaboration and exchange in Free and Open Culture.

He is one of the organizers on projects: ‘Urban Interventions ‘03’, and organizer of Experimental Electronic Interventions ‘04, ‘05 and ‘06, MMKamp ‘06 and MMKamp ‘07 (Multimedia camp).

He is acting through GenteJunk collective with experimental and improvisational sounds and visualization (VJing), pirate FM radio, urban interventions, social hacking, de-constructing, sychronicity research, detournement techniques and culture jamming.

In 2006. he collaborates at ‘Impromondays’, an improvised open music sessions at ‘Silence Reservoir’ club in Zagreb.

As one of the founders and editors of magazine ‘04 - Megazine for Reality Hacking’ , and one of the founders of Internet radio network ‘Free Radio: Stanica MIR’ (FRSM) he is active in independent media since 2003.

At the moment Kruno is researching Free Open Culture in Brasil that will help permanent culture exchange between Croatia and Brasil.

Kunstterrorist Organisation is first and foremost an experiment in human nature. What started out as a few street and design artists scamming welfare make-work arts back in 2004 has become a complete zenarchistic art organisation of postmodern art terrorist ideals (also known as "El terrorismo postmoderno").

Kunstterrorist Organisation revolves around the idea that art terrorism is defined as the substitute application or medium for violence or threatened state intended to sow panic in a society. Instead or terror, art terrorism or postmodern art terrorism is intended to express the terror on more fashionable and contemporary way, via art. We all know that art will never stop the war and global warming but it will, most certainly, fill certain portions in your brain disks.

Kunstterrorist Organisation depicts works of radical political art activism and avant garde manipulation of the art hype itself.


AUDIO:
Kunstterrorist will release their first EP symbolically called "War Audio Noise" in mid 2008. First date was set to be in late 2006 but there simply wasn't enough time to finish all the tracks. Among seven tracks on the release, there will be some very interesting collaborations with other musicians. EP will also be available for free download at the official site (along with some special gifts), only for a limited time. With the release of EP, Kunstterrorirst Audio Noise will also be doing some live performances.

Along with the release of the EP, there will be some special tracks that will be available for free download at the official Kunstterrorist web site, those special tracks will include a number of distinctive remixed tracks of other artists and some demo tracks that didn't get their way into the "War Audio Noise EP".

DARK ATMOSPHERE

Dark atmosphere party je event i promocija iskljucivo ebm, dark, noise, synthpop, futurepop ... glazbe u gradu Vrbovcu, a i sire, koji se odvija otprilike svaka 2 mjeseca u prostorima AKC (alternativnog kulturnog centra) "Garaze". Dark Atmosphere zamisljen je, ne kao striktno sluzbena slusaona, vec k'o ambijetalno-atmosfericni event, uz ugodno druzenje. Radi slabe razvijenosti goth scene na ovom podrucju, zelja je bila stvoriti prostor susretanja i upoznavanja s ovom subkulturom kroz glazbene slusaone, popracene karakteristicnim atmosfericnim ugodjajem. 1) Predstavi mi svoju organizaciju Glitter Demon.
GlitterDemon je trochlana organizacija koja se bavi organizovanjem goth zurki, generalno poznatim pod nazivom “dark night”.nismo vezani ni za koji prostor – zurke pravimo na mestima koja nam se chine zanimljivim ili odgovarajucim. pushtamo gothic rock, ebm, industrial, darkwave, future pop i synth.u cilju nam je da stvorimo gothic-disco atmosferu, ali i da se ne ponavljamo previshe, da ne budemo statichni. radi razbijanja monotonije povremeno organizujemo svirke, a do sada smo imali i maskenbal i plesni performans go-go plesachica. nemamo nikakav dressing code, dobrodoshli su svi koji zele da se provedu na neki malo drugachiji nachin, i takodje svaki put delimo besplatne diskove sa novom kompialcijom, kako bi ljude upoznali sa muzikom koju pushtamo. radimo od septembra 2006. godine.

2) Kakvo je stanje sa goth kulturom u Novom Sadu i
u našoj zemlji uopšte?
gothic podkultura je generalno najslabije zastupljena od svih alternativnih pravaca u bilo kom smislu. josh uvek je ljudima dosta mutno shta je to, i suvishe chesto se gothic i metal trpaju pod isti krov. u beogradu postoji nekoliko klubova koji posvecuju paznju ovakvoj muzichkoj sceni, ali u novom sadu poslednjih godina tome nema ni traga. pre nas, vec duze vreme nisu postojali slichni dogadjaji.

3) Otkud to da ste se odlučili baš za goth i šta je uticalo
na to?
nismo se “odluchivali“ ni za shta. razlog iz koga uopshte radimo to shto radimo jeste to da nismo imali gde da izlazimo. podrzavamo gothic podkulturu u svakom svom aspektu, i bili smo zeljni izlazaka po svom ukusu. u celom svetu su gothic klubovi sasvim normalna pojava, zashto to ne bi bilo i kod nas? smuchila nam se chinjenica da moramo da putujemo u beograd da bismo chuli gothic muziku u nekom klubu, i reshili smo da jednostavno napravimo zurke ove vrste – zurke na kakve bi mi voleli da idemo

4) Opiši mi jedan najt ukratko. Kako izlgeda
organizovanje i atmosfera.
na pochetku svakog night-a pushtamo “batcave“ muziku - deathrock, horror punk, post punk, gothic rock i slichne gitarske zanrove. zatim sledi ebm blok. najvishe paznje posvecujemo bash elektronskoj muzici jer je to atmosfera koju zelimo da postignemo – gothic disco.u cilju nam je igranje po chitavu noc. serije elektro pesama osvezavamo nekim mirnijim darkwave zvukom. polako prelazimo na sve jachu muziku tako da zurku zavrshavamo industrialom. nashe playliste mozete naci na nashem sajtu, kao i nashem myspace blogu. kao shto sam ranije napomenula, chesto organizujemo i svirke, kao i neke manje dogadjaje, da bi osvezili atmosferu, kao shto su maskenbali ili plesni nastupi.

5) Kako se ljudi mogu informisati o narednim najtovima?
o night-ovima se moze informisati preko interneta – www.myspace.com/glitterdemon, kao i sajta koji se trenutno prebacuje na novi host. takodje nas mozete naci na forumima ove vrste. naravno, reklama je i u vidu flajera i postera. ljudi nas mogu kontaktirati i putem mail-a, ili jednostavno zaustaviti na ulici ako imaju neko pitanje hehe

6) Nešto o MySpace stranici?
nasha myspace stranica je direktan nachin da budemo u kontaktu sa ljudima koji posecuju nashe zurke, kao i da privuchemo paznju mnogih drugih ljudi koji mozda nisu imali shanse da chuju za nas. tu najavljujemo sledece night-ove, odgovaramo na eventualna pitanja i dajemo neke informacije putem blog-a.

7) Planovi?
za sada imamo isplanirane dve svirke i jedan promo-night u vidu “sedeljke“.imamo mnoge ambicije i puno ideja – ali ne bih nishta da govorim unapred. videcete vec i sami ;)

GlitterDemon je organizacija chiji je primarni cilj budjenje gothic scene u Novom Sadu. Znamo da ste tamo negde, pokrenite se ;) Od septembra 2006. godine organizujemo zurke, generalno poznate kao dark night-ovi. Prostor nije fixiran, okupiramo sve shto nam se chini pogodnim... Pushtamo ebm, darkwave, gothic rock, industrial, synth, future pop i neofolk... Stvaramo goth-disco atmosferu koja nudi alternativnu nocnu zabavu, gde je svako dobrodoshao...
GlitterDemon posvecuje mnogo paznje odabiru pesama koje ce se pustati na nightovima, ali isto tako i odabiru zanrova i njihovom vremenskom rasporedu. Ovako nesto mozete ocekivati od nas:BatcaveU prvih 30-45 minuta svake zurke organizujemo jedan zajednicki osvrt na desavanja po svetskim klubovima batcave tipa. U ovom delu mozete ocekivati deathrock, horror punk, post punk, gothic rock i slicne gitarske zanrove.(bendovi koje ne mozete omasiti ni na jednom nightu u ovom delu su Cinema Strange, Bloody Dead and Sexy, Scary Bitches, Joy Division, Specimen)EBM/electrogothicElectronic Body Music i electrogothic se pustaju tokom velikog dela jedne GlitterDemon zurke jer su najpogodniji za stvaranje atmosfere kakvu mi zelimo da postignemo (dancey dancey ;) )(Covenant, Front 242, Front Line Assembly, Blutengel, Tristesse De La Lune, Informatik)Ovaj kombo floorfillera obicno biva presecan izletima u terror EBM (Hocico, Amduscia, Suicide Commando) za agresivnije delove nighta ili mirniji darkwave (Diorama, Diary Of Dreams) za stvaranje "romanticnijeg" raspolozenja.Kako vreme odmice, pravimo sve veci upliv agresivnog industrial rocka (Ministry, KMFDM, Marilyn Manson, Skinny Puppy) sa ritmovima idealnim za "stompovanje" po sali :)Nightove zavrsavamo opet nekom sekvencom mirnih pesama koja ce adekvatno ispratiti posetioce u tihi spoljasnji svet.Nadamo se da je ovaj blog pomogao da steknete priblizniju sliku onoga sto mozete cuti na nasim zurkama.
