exYU Alternative Noise Rock (vol.1)

Yup, here is another compilation I've done to present you great bands from this part of the world. Ex-Yugoslavia is a term for the region were Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Montenegro countries exist today. It was all one big communist country until the war in 1991. This compilation is yet another effort to show the rest of the world how many great bands we have here. This is the 3rd installment and final genre compilation. Alternative rock combined with noise rock. Most of these bands come from Serbia, because I'm more involved with the scene there. That doesn't mean that I won't make another compilation in the future, showing the rest of great exYugoslavian countries music. Like before, some recordings were a little crappy so I re-mastered and cleaned them up. I hope you will find this compilation interesting, I find these bands more than great. :) Enjoy!

DARK:SCENE - Demo Archives vol.1 (2009)

This is a collection of early demo recordings by bands that are r.i.p. or inactive. These bands come mostly from Novi Sad (Serbia) and were active from mid 90's to early 2000's. Some of these bands were well known in the underground scene but sadly disbanded and their members continued to work in other projects. This is a very unique compilation and here is the only place on the Internet where you can hear these great acts in this versions of their songs.

Maltreat

MALTREAT

Maltreat 2004 - 2006, rip, conducted as a classic four man band based in Beocin, working in Novi Sad, with just few gigs and eight recorded tracks, along with 2 unrecorded, but still the best "Reposte" and "27 Tense Minutes", made great contribution to local scene with music never heard before. Band relied their sound on classics as "kuyss, deftones, alice in chains..." and vocals more like that dirty noiserock screaming. Only recs. are 8track demo from 2005 made in "RobatzClub" during one hour session and "Say Yes To Dope (live in dvoriste)" Bootleg concert recording, that has been released as a Badroomtapes release. One and only lineup was: Srdjan Stevanovic - Drums, Marko Stevanovic - Guitar, Songwriting, Batalo Nemanja - Bass, Sindjelic Milan - Vocals, Lyrics.

Great industrial/electro band that comes to us from Rijeka. They used to play in

FRANJA KLUZIndustrial/ experimental project from Novi Sad that goes back to middle 90's.
This is a project of Aleksandar Krajovan and Vladimir Opsjenica. They have a

LOW SPINThis is a very rare recording of the noise -rock band Low Spin that played
in Novi Sad since the mid-90's to the year 2000. Members of the band
are the members that played in dreDDup, DMK and Serpent.

MALTREAT
This was the post-rock band from Beocin that played something that
can be categorized as the Steve Albini-influnced-music. This is their
only demo recording. They played only few shows in their lifetime.
They broke up in 2005. and did a small re-union (but in different
line up) in 2006. Soon after that, the band was r.i.p.Maltreat-Demo 2005
