Yup, here is another compilation I've done to present you great bands from this part of the world. Ex-Yugoslavia is a term for the region were Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Montenegro countries exist today. It was all one big communist country until the war in 1991. This compilation is yet another effort to show the rest of the world how many great bands we have here. This is the 3rd installment and final genre compilation. Alternative rock combined with noise rock. Most of these bands come from Serbia, because I'm more involved with the scene there. That doesn't mean that I won't make another compilation in the future, showing the rest of great exYugoslavian countries music. Like before, some recordings were a little crappy so I re-mastered and cleaned them up. I hope you will find this compilation interesting, I find these bands more than great. :) Enjoy!

Here is something very interesting for our blog.
Tona come to us from Novi Sad (Serbia), playing post rock and alternative rock with rough guitar riffs and recognizable ex-Katarza vocal of their frontman George Almosthole. Tona released their debut album in 2008. for SKCNS, independent record label from Novi Sad. This album contains 11 well crafted songs that will drive you from blues, post rock, hard rock to alternative metallic punk attitude. There aren't many post rock bands in Ex Yu region today playing loud as this, so please check this out and download it. We thank Tona for giving us this link and permision to post it on our blog. Coming from Novi Sad, the town in sleepy northern Serbia's province of Vojvodina, TONA is a 5-piece loud rock band with ultra modern sweep.

All members have their own favourites among the bands that come from the domain of loud rock music spanning from Thin White Rope, Motorhead and Dead Kennedys to The Jesus Lizard, TAD, Cop Shoot Cop, Kyuss, and many more. The band is also inspired by music of genres other than rock. Anything that can be combined into a powerful sonic blast is put into the band's cauldron and cast into a solid piece of rock, making the unique sound of TONA.
