Ex-Yugoslavian INDUSTRIAL ROCK

Ex-Yugoslavia is a term for the region were Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Montenegro countries exist today. It was all one big communist country until the war in 1991. Anyway, here is something that might be interesting for you guys. This is a oldschool mixtape compilation that I've done to present to you industrial rock bands from these parts. Some of them only did industrial rock for short period in their career, and some of them are full industrial rock acts. I've attached a small txt file to the compilation were you have information about the bands. Anyway, most of the bands on this compilation are from the 80's and 90's. Hope you will like them. :)

PORNHOUSE : BEHIND THE NOISE vol.1

Here is another Pornhouse release for D:S records. This time we're going back in time. This tracks are from the first Pornhouse 2 EP's and another track from his Zero Syndrome split. Among other stuff there are 2 new songs and two songs from Elektronska Industrija Nis vol.2 compilation. This album has a different sound than "Znnoy" LP. Znnoy is more industrial metal orientated and this one goes back, combining classic industrial elements with some modern beats and some weird ambiental noises. Hope you will enjoy this new release. DS:vol.6 is a compilation of ExYu industrial/gothic/experimental bands. ExYu is a region in Balkans (Europe) where former Yugoslavia was. This compilation is the sixth DS established and there will be more releases. This particular one is ment to be a compilation with covers of famous artists. It supposed to be a creative work of art where a lot of different bands cover the songs they like.

HC: Kada si napravio Pornhouse, koja je tvoja zelja bila i kakav smisao PH ima? Sta to tebi znaci a sta bi trebalo slusaocima?
PH: Pa poshto uglavnom ceo dan provodim ispred kompa, veci deo tog vremena provodim u ACID-u, tako da non-stop radim neke matrice, bitove i razna snimanja, imao sam zelju da odradim neki sopstveni projekat koji ce biti drugachiji od Embrio Shpayza. Pornhouse projekat je nastao negde maja, i imao je za cilj da bude chist industrial. Mada vremenom su dodate neke stvari kao shto su gitare i klavir...tako da sam malo skrenuo od prvobitne ideje, ali ono shto je ostalo isto jeste industrija... Meni lichno ovaj projekat predstavlja odskakanje od okvira prosechne (sada vec predvidljive) muzike...a shta treba da predstavlja slushaocima to ne znam :) ...moracesh njih da pitash...nisam imao za ideju da nekome prodajem zivotnu filozofiju putem ovog projekta...chisto iskorishcavanje slobodnog vemena na pravi nachin...

HC: Kako generalno nekome ko nije upucen u intenzivnu buku i industriju objasniti i kako ti se cini izjava "There is no such thing as noise"?
PH: Kako objasniti buku nekome ko nije upucen...? pa "TO JE NESHTO SHTO TI SE NE BI SVIDELO !!!" :) shalim se. Pa ne znam, najbolje bi bilo da dobije neki industrial/noise da preslusha i tako ce najbolje shvatiti o chemu je rech. A shto se tiche ove izjave...mislim da je na to bolje reci (ono chto sam video u potpisu kod likova iz [C.T.D.] valjda) "ONLY NOISE IS REAL"...naravno da buka postoji...

HC: Noise. Muzika ili Anti-Muzika :)? Zasto je jedno, a zasto je drugo?
PH: Pa noise je definitivno anti-muzika, ali to je i poenta celog pravca, i to nikoga ne treba da sprechava da je slusha a josh manje da je pravi... Noise je udaranje kontre klishe muzici koja se non-stop vrti po glupavim televizijama...

HC: Jesi li razmisljao da nastupis uzivo? Kapiram da je tesko ponoviti ono sto se moze cuti na izdanju pa zato,... kako bi zapravo i mogao da izgleda nastup?
PH: Naravno da sam razmishljao o live nastupu, ali to ne bi bio moj solo nastup. Kada bude bilo vreme za svirke (i kada budem imao malo vishe slobodnog vremena) bice oformljen live bend koji ce imati minimum 3 chlana: sampler, bubanj i glas...a moguce je da ce biti ubacha gitara i bas.A shto se tiche izgleda nastupa, trudicu se da bude shto mrachnija atmosfera...verujem da ce to jako da utiche na slushaoce...

HC: Ta neponovljivost napravljene muzike. Prednost ili mana?
PH: Pa uglavnom mana...zato shto je neponovljivo za live nastupe...a to je u stvari i neka prednost jer ne moze da se odradi ista improvizacija dva puta, uvek ce zvuchati drugachije... zato bi trebalo da se svaka iprovizacija snimi i ako je moguce kasnije sempluje i koristi za neku novu stvar (ako vec ne moze da se ponovi)...

HC: Kaze jedan moj ortak "za sve to ti je dovoljan fruti lups i esid"... Sta koristis u radu? Hardver, softver, gedzet isl...
PH: Ja sam odavno iz upotrebe izbacio fruti lups i trudim se da snimim shto vishe live zvukova. Od skoro sam pocheo da pravim noise preko gitarskih pedala kao shto su distorzija, dilej, reverb, fejzer itd... A shto se tiche ritmova oni su pravljeni u Reason-u i trudim se da budu shto vishe izdistorzirani, da bi se dobilo shto vishe buke...naravno nikada se ne bih ogranichavao softverima...imam neke stare stvari na kojima sam svirao distorziranu frulu...i mnogo gotivim kada chujem neki originalan zvuk nego kada chujem da je neko u svojoj pesmi koristio gotovu matricu iz nekog programa...a to se deshava veoma chesto...

HC: Danas je racunar dostupan svima. Cinjenica je da masa ljudi radi nesto po pitanju muzike sama. Da li smatras da je ta dostupnost dobra i to da svako moze da radi muziku/buku?
PH: Meni je mnogo drago shto je svako u mogucnosti da proba da pravi buku i drago mi je shto ima ljudi koji shvataju taj pravac i pokushavaju da ga ozive...meni bi bilo skroz gotivno kada bi svaka osoba na svetu bila muzichar. Trenutno je kod svih muzichara najveci problem to shto su zavidni...kada budu mogli to da prevazidju mislim da ce biti skroz druga pricha na sceni ...to vazi za muzichku scenu uopshte...mislim da na industrial sceni sa ovih prostora vlada skroz druga atmosfera i da muzichari druge muzichare dozivljavaju kao kolege a ne kao konkurenciju...a tako i treba da bude...

HC: Koliko stizes da pratis desavanja u ex yu u smislu novih i starih imena? Cini se da je poslednjih godinu-dve naisao je neki novi talas bendova i projekata. Kako ti vidis to?
PH: Uglavnom pratim bendove preko D:S kompilacija, jer se na svakoj kompilaciji pojavi bezbroj odlichnih projekata sa ovih prostora...a i na D:S blogu ima gomila odlichnih bendova, shto starih to i novih. Ne smeta mi da na svaki bend koji naidjem downloadujem izdanja i preslusham...jer se stvarno retko razocharama i uvek mi je drago kada saznam za neko novo ime sa ovih prostora koje se bavi mrachnijom muzikom... A shto se tiche novog talasa (u koji spada i Pornhouse) to samo znachi da se i mladji ljudi interesuju za nekomercijalnu muzichku scenu...

HC: Ako je tvoj muzicki izraz industrial, noise, sta bi bila inpiracija koja zahteva ovakvu formu?
PH: Pa u mojim pesmama noiza je u poshetku bilo malo, sada na albumu ga skoro i nema...tako da mogu slobodno da promenim svoj muzichki izraz :) U principu ne slusham toliko noiza (koliko slusham ostale pravce)... A inache slusham veoma raznovrsnu muziku. U zadnje vreme mnogo vishe slusham bendove kao shto su Ulver, Sneaker Pimps, Skinny Puppy a uz to dolaze i bendovi koje odavno slusham u velikim kolichinama kao shto su Laibach, NIN, Massive Attack itd... A pored indutiala i elektronske muzike slusham dosta metal, HC, hip-hop...bla bla Koji cu pravac slushati u datom trenutku zavisi od mog trenutnog raspolozenja...

HC: I ovim vam ostavljam poslednju priliku da kazes nesto sto zelis a nisam te pitao i jeste ili nije bitno vama, nama, nekome...

Projekat "PORNHOUSE" je nastao januara 2008 godine i dolazi iz Nisha...radi se o industrial/noise zvuku...
Zavrshen je prvi EP pod nazivom "REST[of]ART". Uradjeno je i nekoliko pesama za drugi EP koji ce biti industrial/rock/noise...koji ce (VEROVATNO) biti zavrshen do pochetka septembra.
