P.P.V.

P.P.V.

P.P.V. was a long lasting side project of A.A. and L.A. besides bands like The Antals and the Fucking Gods... It was formed by the siblings way back in 1997... many of the songs from this project served as basis for the songs in the "main" bands, but also, it worked the other way round... P.P.V. was always more open to experiments, so their songs could be called everything but poppy... The days when P.P.V. was still active were really joyful ones, full of creative power without the restraint of any kind of pressure on them... Two albums were recorded by the duo with the help of some friends (active help, as vocals on some of the songs could be credited to E.S., a good friend of the duo, also a bandmate in the Fucking Gods). The first album was recorded in the summer of 2000, with minimal technical supply... most of the songs were already written, but there are some songs which are based fully on improvisation... This album was called "Nasha Radost: ProtivPozharni Ventil" ("The Joy of Ours: The Fire Extinguisher")... It featured ten songs, as follows: 1.The Annoyed 2.Fasting Veins 3.Recovery 4.Other Other 5.Boredom 6.PPV 7.So, What? 8.No Brains No Problems (Instrumental) 9.Recovery (Instrumental) 10. Malice The second album was recorded a year later. It had more electronic edge to it, while the first was more under the influence of such artists as The Sisters of Mercy, Joy Division... Also, this was a more experimental album, most of the songs were written while recording... it was called "See You", after the dominant song on the album... Unfortunately it has never been finished so we cannot find an existing consistent track listing to this one, but some of the songs include "See You", "Dub Ya", "Clouds Over" (later reinterpreted y "The Antals"), "Sisters", "Telephone Sex", "Acoustic", etc. This album also featured E.S. in some songs, but somehow this collaboration became more distant and unfortunately has seen the end of the active P.P.V. era, too...
